Frequently Asked Questions about BBB Plugin
No, recordings are processed and stored on the servers of the BBB Plugin.
They’re stored for at least six months for active subscriptions, and at least one month for inactive subscriptions. However, no recording is deleted unless you hit a disk usage threshold wich usually allows more than 6 months of recordings retention. Our team will notify your admins if this happens so you can choose to upgrade (to get more space) or to delete old recordings. Also keep in mind that you may download important recordings and transfer them to your Moodle or servers.
There is no limit on the number of recordings.
As long as you don’t exceed the total number of users online at the same time (simultaneous users), you can organize an unlimited amount of online meetings.

Technical Support Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. In the Moodle integration, for example, you will find an option in the administration called “Service status” that allows you to monitor and generate the list of meetings in progress.
The recording quality is preset, and you do not have to take any action yourself. By default, we offer a higher quality capability compared to other competitors and even the standard BigBlueButton settings typically employed by other providers.
It’s important to mention that when sharing your camera, you can choose the webcam quality you desire (ranging from low quality to FHD Extreme 1920px).
To solve this problem, you just need to check that the administrator has correctly configured the roles for Teacher, Teacher without editing permission, Manager, or others in the BigBlueButton plugin settings. Visit the following link for step-by-step instructions.
Yes, it is possible to change the URL of a Moodle site. However, it’s important to note that each subscription allows you to connect to a specific Moodle platform. If you want to connect to a different platform, you will need to purchase a new subscription for that specific platform.
We do not set any hard limits on the number of webcams per meeting. However, you should keep in mind that selected webcams video quality and the ability to watch a high number of simultaneous webcams depends on your users bandwidth. You may choose to have your participants (not moderators) to see all webcams or just moderators to ease bandwidth requirements on your users in some situations. Also it is generally recommended to have a moderate number of simultaneous webcams in a single meeting.
In general, almost everything on the internet is downloadable to some extent. However, the BigBlueButton recording format makes it challenging to be downloaded, ensuring content protection when needed. In our plugin, we have included parameters that allow us to hide downloadable formats from students when required.
